Enhanced Speed Market Question

Hello,

I tried to reach out on Reddit as well but I am not sure if it went through correctly, so I am also trying on here.

My plan is currently the "connect more" plan, but I am getting around 20 mbps upload which I thought was pretty low. I managed to get in touch with one of the live chat agents who said that is normal for my plan and they wouldn't be able to assist further. This is confusing to me, because I see the "typical upload speed" for my plan is listed as much higher on the xfinity website when I type in my address:

I see Xfinity has been upgrading certain areas to enhanced speed markets with increased download and upload speeds, compatible with certain modems only. Is my area in one of these markets, or is it planned to be? I am wondering if my modem could be the issue, since I see speeds of up to 2gig down are offered at my location.

My download speed of 300mbps is fine, but under 50 mbps upload is quite slow for me. I am hoping to figure out a solution.

Thank you,

Official Employee

Good evening @user_2hes5p, and thank you for reaching out on our Community Forums, we appreciate it. We are happy to review your location to see if it is eligible for our enhanced upload speeds. To get started, can you please send us a Direct Message with your first and last name along with the service address on the account?

To send a "Direct Message" ("Private") message:

Click "Sign In" if necessary

  • Click the "Direct Message chat" icon
  • Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
  • Type "Xfinity Support" in the "To:" line and select "Xfinity Support" from the drop-down list which appears. The "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line
  • Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
  • Press Enter to send it

We look forward to working with you further. 😀
