Enabling WPA3 on my XB7 technicolor router?

I have a XB7 Technicolor router which supposedly supports WPA3 but when I navigate to where I can change from WPA2 there's no option other then WPA2 and open.

user_jvksdg, Thank you for reaching out to Xfinity Support. This is what I found for you. Let me know if you need any other assistance. To enable WPA3 on your XB7 gateway, follow these steps:
  1. Sign in to the Xfinity app using your Xfinity ID and password.
  2. Select **WiFi** from the navigation at the bottom of the screen.
  3. Look for the option to change your WiFi security mode and select WPA3.

Ensure that all your devices support WPA3 to connect successfully, as it is the most advanced security mode available.

@XfinityAngie I too cannot select WPA3. As the original post mentioned, there's no option other then WPA2 and open. Please take the time to understand the problem. Scripted answers may improve your response metrics, but it does not help to suggest actions that do not address the problem as presented.

Callidum_Anatem Hello! Thank you for reaching out to us here on our Community Forum. The information posted above is correct and is in no way "scripted", if you are having issues enabling WPA3 there could be other issues taking place. You also may need to consider upgrading if you have the XB7 modem, it may serve you better by upgrading to the XB8 as long as you have the speed to support the upgrade.
