Enabling IPv6

Hello all,

Ever since renting out the Xfinity Router, I have been unable to connect to my Nest Protects to the network. Google said I needed to enable IPv6 in order for me to connect to the Protects. I have been on the phone for more than 3 hours with Xfinity and they were supposed to call me back a week ago (with a solution) but they never did. Clearly, Xfinity has absolutely no clue what they are doing.

Can anyone here point me in the right direction?

Thank you in advance for the help,

Chris

The two WiFi bands SSID's have recently been combined into one with the Comcast gateway devices. Some devices get confused and don't know how to see / talk to combined SSID's.

If you are not using any Xfi Pods, you can try separating the 2.4 and the 5.0 names and give them two different broadcast names / SSID's;

Associate the devices with the new / respective 2.4 or 5.0 SSID (broadcast name) and password. YMMV. Good luck !
