Enable second IP address
I just bought the ARRIS S33 cable modem. I would like to utilize both Ethernet ports on the back. The 2.5Gbps port to wire into my desktop and the 1Gbps port to go to my mesh router system. ARRIS user guide says that I need to have my ISP enable a second IP address to get functionality to both ports. How do I get in contact with the right people to accomplish this?

Unless you need to run two separate networks, just use a router. Getting a second IP for a residential account is difficult, if it's even available in your area, and has a monthly fee.

They are phasing it out but I'm going to escalate your issue to the Comcast corporate employees that are available to these boards. We've seen cases here where they have been able to get this accomplished for customers even when it is not listed in their rate cards, YMMV. You should get a reply here in your topic. Good luck !

Hello and good morning! Thank you for creating a post here within the community! You have come to the right place for support with this particular internet service feature. The second IP address is not available and/or supported in all markets any longer, but we can definitely look into yours and see if it's something available for you to add.
Could you please send our team a direct message with your full name and full address? Our team can most definitely take a further look at this issue. To send a "Peer to peer" ("Private") message:
