Enable bridge without ethernet connection

It’s been a very frustrating day. I’ve got devices that require 2.4 GHz. But the app would not let me enable dual band. So I bought my own router. I was able to set it up, but the speed is crawling. So I tried to log into the gateway to enable bridge mode. But I use Macs and don’t have ethernet connectivity. So then I bought a thunderbolt dock adapter, but getting a flashing orange light and it doesn’t work. Where do I go from here?

Hello user_siahha is this still a concern for you? Are all modems you are using third-party devices?  A long as the Mac can connect to Wi-Fi, it should be able to log in to the admin  portal for the modem.

Yes, this is still a problem. I don’t have a third-party modem, but I’m trying to connect a third-party router to your modem – router combo. I can get to the modem gateway with my Mac, but the username and password don’t work. I’m pretty sure I never changed them. Do I need to do a factory reset?

@user_siahha

Are you using admin for the default username and password for the default password ?

@EG yes I am. It would be easier if someone there could just enable bridge mode for me?

In lieu of that, the only other choice is indeed to reset it back to defaults. The access creds will then become those of what was posted.
