Enable admin portal on XB6 gateway
I need to enable the admin portal on my gateway so I can manage port forwarding for my home network. When I plug a PC into the modem and go to http://10.0.0.1/ I get the message "Managing your home network settings is now easier than ever. To manage your gateway settings and other features, please download the Xfinity app."
Ok so then I look up how to enable the admin portal. Xfinity support pages tell me to go onto the app, then click "View WiFi equipment", however, I don't have that option.
I then try to chat with the AI assistant to enable it for me, and it doesn't know what I am asking. I've had it reboot my gateway 10 times because it won't do what I ask, and I cannot reach a support person for any help whatsoever.
I tried connecting to the gateway's wifi that I just re-established, and it won't actually connect to the network or obtain an IP address. Again, the AI assistant doesn't know what I am asking and I cannot speak to a person for help.
I need to get into this admin portal for my home network and I have jumped through so many hoops with no resolution in sight.
