Eero Mesh and Arris Modem compatibility
For the last two years my eero 6 router and my rented Arris modem have played fair with each other. Earlier this week I now have no connection. I have submitted a ticket and spoken to several Xfinity support people where the system temporarily fixes itself.
Background: I have the modem with Bridge mode Enabled. They have turned it off and on and several times and I have rebooted everything multiple times. I actually couldn't get access to 10.0.0.1 initially with my wired connection even though modem said it had internet. It kept giving me an 'address' fault message.
My eero router will work when the Bridge is disabled (which is backwards), but then i have wireless routing both thru the eero mesh and through the Arris modem (not ideal). When I Enable the Bridge, the eero will turn red either within 5 minutes or several times I have seen the modem due a full reboot on the hour (e.g., 9 pm). The Xfinity support person tells me that I have connection and I do at times via the wired connection to my modem, but it crawls, then suddenly it is gone.
I could disable Bridge mode and throw away the eero mesh router system, but then i have gaps in coverage, plus the random reboot and the fact that Bridge mode when Enabled isn't working makes me think the modem is bad. I haven't found that the eero had any updates to software since July 16th.
It looks like there are similar "Closed" cases in the community, but i don't see that it was resolved.

When you enable bridge mode, the management interface on most modems/gateways will move to 192.168.100.1
Your eero isn't going to cause the modem to reboot though, you've got a different issue there. There is some troubleshooting information here: https://forums.xfinity.com/conversations/your-home-network/internet-troubleshooting-tips/602dae4ac5375f08cde52ea0 Pay particular attention to signal levels being out of spec for both upstream and downstream, and errors/SNR.
You've probably got other networking issues, but if the eero isn't able to communicate with the DHCP servers because your connection is flaking out, it's not going to work, so I'd work on that problem first.
