eero 6+ compatibility with Xfinity modem XFSETUP-DE86

My modem is provided by Xfinity. The store clerk assured me that the eero 6+ Dual-band mesh Wi-Fi 6 system is compatible with the Xfinity XFSETUP-DE86 modem. Can you provide instructions on how to connect the modem to this mesh system? Thank you.

@EG Thank you. I have read those instructions and see that I would need to turn off the Bridge Mode which means I will not be able to maintain the direct ethernet connection from the router to the television. Is there a recommended mesh router which is compatible with the Xfinity Gateway to allow me to continue to use the ethernet connection to the tv?

Thank. You.

@user_cp3gsu Welcome to our community forum and thank you @EG for sharing that awesome tip! While in bridge mode, any ethernet port can be used, but only one device can be connected to the gateway. Do you have ethernet ports on your mesh devices that you can use to connect the TV via ethernet?

We offer Xfinity WiFi Boost Pods, which act as wireless network extenders. Each pod has two ethernet ports that you can use for a more reliable connection to the TV. What are your thoughts?

XfinityEmilyB,  Thank you for your reply. According to the description printed on the box there are two auto-sensing gigabyte Ethernet ports per device. (I haven't yet opened the packages in case it needed to be returned to the seller.) Those ports would seem to satisfy the requirements.   Thanks for the information and link to the XfinityWiFi Boost Pods. I did read about those but I bought the eero 6+ because I had a purchase credit at BestBuy and the amount of the credit covered the purchase price.

I want to make sure you're taking advantage of all the awesome features available to you. With Xfinity, you have access to millions of free hotspots across the footprint so you can stay connected while on the go. You can easily locate them using the Xfinity App I use them to save my mobile data while I'm out and about. They're super convenient and easy to use!

Thank you for your reply! Now the problem is I have to switch off the Bridge mode. I have gone to the website http://10.0.0.1 to enter my Username and Password for the Gateway Login. But, I cannot get my Username and Password to agree. I have followed instructions to change the password but still I am getting the message that both Username and Password are incorrect. The AI
generated help does not help me past this point. Any ideas on how to go from here?  Thanks!
