Early termination fees

Hello,

I recently received a bill for a $233 early termination fee after canceling my Xfinity service. My fiancée is active duty Navy and we had to move from Florida to San Diego due to PCS orders. Our apartment lease was terminated under the Servicemembers Civil Relief Act, and the internet service with Xfinity was a required part of that lease.

I believe the early termination fee should be waived under the SCRA. Can someone from Xfinity Support please assist me in submitting the necessary documentation?

Thank you.

Concern moved here to the Billing help section for greater exposure to Comcast corporate employees (The Digital Care Team) for assistance.

Hello @user_yf0n1l! Thank you for reaching out to us. We understand how frustrating it is to receive an early termination fee after a military move, and we are here to help resolve this. You have definitely come to the right place.

If you could send our team a direct message with your full name, the name listed on the account (if different), and the service address associated with your account, I'd be more than happy to look into this for you.

To send a "Direct Message" to Xfinity Support:

Click "Sign In" if necessary

Click the "Direct Messaging" icon or https://forums.xfinity.com/direct-messaging

Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon

The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there

- As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list

- An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line

Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window

Press Enter to send it.
