Dropping connection during Webex and Zoom calls

We are getting internet unstable..  Audio drops while video stays up.. then full drop.. hardwired and wifi.   We've had a tech out that said signals in and out of the house are good.  Said something about a tap needing to be upgraded.  He was nice, but kinda just told me there was nothing he could do..  

I can't work anymore.. my kids can go to school...  I need this figured out.  I saw a post that it might be a bad modem.

I'm having the same problem and getting SICK of this. I have a new modem and it is still happening. I pay for high speed, get 350 mbps down load but onoy 10 mbps upload. Is this the problem?  Don't know but the internet dropping is ridiculous. I'm getting ready to change carriers but that could be a whole new mess.

10mbps upload should be fine.  I skype and Zoom all the time without any issues on 70 down/5 up.  I do find that I get issues with Wi-Fi with varying results depending on location within the home, so I hook up to ethernet and have no issues at all that way.

I ended up swapping out the Xfinity WiFi modem for an arris modem and a Netgear router. All better.
