Drop Amplifier
In a spare bedroom in my home I have a AC adapter (model CDS007-W150U) plugged into a power strip with a cable connection from the wall. It has a warning to not disconnet or Broadband service will be lost. (That does happen, I tried it) I have a utility cabinet where the cable comes in and is split to the different rooms. Is it related to that spitter? Why is the adapter it in a random room? Does this device affect my internet speeds? This is Xfinity installed equipment.

Commscope (CSAPAE615V500) I understand what you saying. Thanks.
For what it's worth - I worked out a way to directly plug in the power supply to the household splitter and testing before at 450 jumped to 600 after. May not be related, but I'll take it.

I am having issues of dropped signal and I was told to install a drop amp but after a tech visit to my home apparently I am using the wrong drop amp. Can someone tell me a correct drop amp ? I am using PCT-MA-B1015-2A multimedia drop amp
