drop amplifier relocation
Hi, I believe I have a drop amplifier in a bedroom where I do not want it. Without it, the internet does not work.
My neighbor has one, but his is plugged into his box in the garage. I want to know what port I can plug the drop amplifier into in the garage junction bar.
The options are: Out 3, Out 4, Out 7, Out 8, -4db VolP Out, and Power In 15Vdc/500 MA. The last one, Power In 15Vdc/500 MA, seems to match the specifications on the drop amplifier.
Can I plug the drop amplifier (Model: AD48-1500500DU) into the Power In 15Vdc/500 MA port on the junction bar? Photos of the amplifier and bar at the link below.

The AD48-1500500DU is not a "drop amplifier", it's a 15Vdc power supply for the "Out 3, Out 4, Out 7, Out 8, -4db VolP Out" device, which is the drop amplifier. Since the amplifier's LED is lit, it's getting power, probably from that 15V supply.
There are two ways to power this drop amp ("CSA[something]VP", [can't make out the symbols blocked by the "out 1" coax in the pic]) . You can connect the supply module directly to the "Power In 15Vdc/500 MA" port, or you can use a device called a "power inserter". It's not shown in your pics, but inserters typically have three connectors of the same type: one connects to the power supply, one to the amplifier's "Out1/Power In" port, and one to a TV, modem, other other coax-connected device. That appears to be how the amp is being powered now.
If you don't want the power supply where it is located now, you can move it to any other location with an A/C outlet and a coax connection to the amp, but you would need to move the cable for that device to the "Out1/Power In" port. Or, if there is an A/C outlet near the amp, you could plug in the AD48-1500500DU there and connect it directly to the "Power In 15Vdc/500 MA" port.
Sorry if that sounds confusing. Good luck!
