Download speed upgraded to 200Mbp but reverts to 45Mbip

Several months ago I received an email saying that the speed of my line was being upgraded to 200Mbp DOWNLOAD.

They had to dispatch normal tech amd a line tech and he said the node wasn't upgraded/configure to handle my new speeds and he corrected the issue.

Rebooting the modem somehow corrects the issue for a short period and I immediately get the 200Mbps.

However, the download speed reverts back to 40-75Mbp after a little time after reboot the modem.

I've contacted support multiple times and they only see the download speed and say everything is fine.

I've done speed test via the Xfinity app and via speed test.

Hello, thank you for taking the time to reach out for assistance. I understand you have some questions regarding your speeds, and I am happy to help. Download speed is pretty much all the same nationwide, but upload speed is determined by the area you live in for now. We are doing our best to make sure everyone can take advantage of the higher upload speeds as soon as possible, and in the meantime your patience is greatly appreciated. Honestly 45 Mpbs is excellent, and should be more than enough to support most households. Are you having issues with your connection, or just curious why they seem to be so different?

Are you suggesting that I should just be greatful with 45 because you feel it's fast enough for most households?!

Did you see them screen shot above from your own app/speed test where it says I should be getting 200?

I received a letter months ago, a tech came out and he escalated it to a line tech, a line tech came out and said my tap wasn't configured correctly.

I get 200mbit after a reboot but after an hour it drops back down.

Can you kindly escalate this issue to a line tech level so the root cause can be addressed.

To answer your question, yes I am haviing connectivity issues, your marketing a speed that I'm not getting but for approx 1 hour after rebooting the modem.

It depends on how the services are being used. Are you doing a lot of streaming, gaming, or working from home? What sort of issues are you having, devices not connecting or dropping the signal?

I no longer work for Comcast.

I can't believe I'm actually debating with a Xfinity employee that I should settle for a service/speed that I am paying for (or the speed that that I am provisioned for)

Your logic is like me selling you a 2 million sports car and limiting the speed at 45 mph because "I feel" you'll neve need to drive faster than. 45 mph.

I am asking again, kindly escalate this issue and address the root cause instead of this con game your playing.

I've provided enough information, your questions and opinions are unproductive and unprofessional.
