does "up to" mean that it's ok to only get 6mbps when I pay for "up to 300mbps"???

I've occasionally run into not being able to open a basic webpage and started running tests. Today I've ranged from 6-39 mbps down and 3-44 mbps up. I don't need much, 200/200 Ziply was more than enough for me before, is this normal? Can I do anything? Shouldn't there be a minimum speed?

@user_lsww9j, I completely understand why you’re questioning this. While Internet speeds can vary based on factors like your connection method, equipment, and network conditions, seeing speeds as low as 6 Mbps when your plan is up to 300 Mbps definitely gives us something worth looking into, especially if you’re having trouble loading basic webpages. I’d be happy to help troubleshoot this with you and see what may be causing such a significant drop in performance. The speed test that you are doing is that being done via the Xfinity App or something else?
