Does the Xfinity provided Arris TG4482V Voice Gateway support LACP?

I have 1.2G service and I have the Xfinity provided Arris TG4482V Voice Gateway. I want to know if the modem supports LACP to connect to my Firewall. My Firewall doesn't have the newer 1.25G Ethernet ports.

If the modem does support LACP which ports should I use? On the back there are 4 Ethernet and 2 phone - I know not to use the phone ports :-) .

Howdy @linuxha!  Did you mean the CommScope TG4482A Wireless Gateway? We don't offer an Arris TG4482V. Unfortunately, neither of our XB7 device models support LACP. I've included the Ethernet specs below;

Ethernet

  • Four (4) Ethernet Ports (RJ-45) for connecting computers or network printers
  • One (1) 2.5 Gbps WAN/LAN supporting MACsec
  • Three (3) 1-Gigabit per second LAN

Sorry the V on the model shouldn't have been there. This is what I have (from it's admin web page):

System Hardware

Model:TG4482A
Vendor:ARRIS Group, Inc.

@linuxha

Use the 2,5 port if you need more than a gig support.

None of my equipment supports 2.5G and the equipment I'm interested in isn't available (chip shortages).

No idea what you mean by "chip shortages" but AFAIK, the red-colored ethernet port on that device supports 2.5 gig. If your client devices do not support over 1 gig then you'll never get your full speed (over 1400 with the over-provisioning).
