Does Ethernet create a 2nd network?
A technician came out and fixed a router issue. Now when I connect my computer via Ethernet cable, I have a 2nd network that it just auto connects too that wasn’t there before and only shows on my computer with the Ethernet. The rest of my devices connect to the original Wi-Fi network but are no longer showing up active on the Xfinity app. Is this to be expected?
I was hacked about a month ago and so I am super paranoid about anything that is out of the ordinary. Should I be concerned that I now have a 2nd network ? My computer does not seem to work very well on it either. It is super slow and does a lot of spinning.
Any words of wisdom are welcome! Thank you!

No. It does not create a second network.
It's a good bet you have this issue: https://forums.xfinity.com/conversations/your-home-network/random-devices-connecting-to-wifi/6580d7eb2e4f0f28452d1e8e?commentId=6580dadbe4ada5345192a5a3
Disable MoCA for a test. You might end up logging into your neighbors gateway and end up disabling their MoCA. If that happens, disconnect your WiFi and reconnect after you do it, then try it again and see if you can connect to your own gateway after disabling your neighbors. In a close neighbor/apartment situation, you may have to disable quite a few of them to get to your own gateway.
