DOCSIS 3.1 - Should I Move Up From DOCSIS 3.0?

Should I move up from a DOCSIS 3.0 cable modem?

I have 175Mbps subscription from Comcast.

My Modem is an Arris CM820A, DOCSIS 3.0, it has been rock solid for many years:

Wired Download Speed
Up to 285 Mbps
DOCSIS Channels
8 down x 4 up

DOCSIS 3.0
IPv6

The modem is connected to a Netgear AC1750, dual band wifi router.  There is a home network to which two desktop pcs (this one, and another one) are connected to the router via ethernet.  There are three to laptops connected to the home network via wifi.  (Other devices, such as cell phone, tablets, and MacBooks and smart TVs, occassionally connect, but very infrequently.)

Speed tests of ethernet connected pcs cosistently give 190Mbps down, and 7Mbps up.  Things run fine here, no matter how many connections are made, ethernet or wifi, to the home network.  Very little streaming is done here, and no game playing.

I understand bonding increases bandwidth and helps when my node is congested.  Does it make sense to upgrade to DOCSIS 3.1 with a 175Mbps subscription?

DOCSIS 3.1 is only needed if one subscribes to their gigabit speed tier.

Thanks much.

That's what I like, a concise answer!
