Do I need to get a new modem or update my speed?

I have the blink camera system and it keeps dropping the sync module to where it says the sync module is offline. Currently I have had this moden for roughly 7 years. We have 5 cameras connected to this plus people in the house that have various electronics. My level of service is Performance Plus Internet including download speeds up to 500 Mbps and upload speeds up to 20 Mbps. Do I need to upgrade my plan, get a new modem or just leave xfinity to resolve this issue?

@user_nceyx3 That would be quite troublesome to have security cameras lose a connection intermittently. Are you noticing the intermittent connection on any other device? 500 Mbps supports 7-10 devices adequately and if you're having a lot of network usage, there are times when devices will drop from the network and lose connection if other devices are hogging the bandwidth.
