Do I need a Second IP Address to utilize both ethernet ports on a SB8200?
Hello,
I have a SB 8200 modem with gigabit internet. Is it possible to get a second IP address? I looked at the rate card in my area and did not see any options for a second IP address.
Thank you.

They are phasing it out but I'm going to escalate your issue to the Comcast corporate employees that are available to these boards. We've seen cases here where they have been able to get this accomplished for customers even when it is not listed in their rate cards, YMMV. You should get a reply here in your topic. Good luck !

Hello, Elman!
Thanks for reaching out to us here for help.
You do not need a second IP to use the additional port on your gateway.
For the most part, as EG mentioned, multi-IP is not available for residential customers. The best way to tell is by checking your local rate card to see if it is available. Regardless, I'd be more than happy to double-check for you! 🙂

Thank you and I just sent the private message. Also, can I use link aggregation to utilize both ethernet ports on the SB8200 modem?
