DNS_probe_finished_NXDOMAIN

Hello all,

I've been through many months of errors tied to the DNS probe error "DNS_probe_finished_NXDOMAIN". I have purchased new routers, new desktops and made many changes over the year (not in an attempt to resolve this, just in general). I have changed my DNS to OpenDNS, googles DNS, and stuck with Xfinity and their standard DNS. I continually have errors that web pages won't load which forces me to refresh 5-7 times each page as it continues to fail to load.

I am experiencing this issue constantly, this is getting very frustrating, and curious how I can go about fixing this. I've done as much troubleshooting as possible and am still unable to find a fix. At this rate, I feel this is an ISP issue, curious if anyone else has run into this.

Many times general connectivity problems manifest themselves as being DNS issues when they really aren't. That said.

What do the modem's signal stats look like ? Try getting them here; http://192.168.100.1 or here http://10.0.0.1

Please copy all of the text in its entirety of the *Downstream Power Levels*, the *SNR's* (Signal to Noise Ratios), and the *Upstream Power Level* numbers and paste them into your next post.

What is the exact make and model number of the modem / gateway device ?

Is this a WiFi connection ?
