DHCP Reservation
I have a Western Digital MY Home ehternet hard drive that is connected directly the the latest model of the X1 router and it disconnects each day. The only way I can reconnect is to reboot my computer. How do you change the DHCP Reservation in the lan setup?

Not sure that this still applies. They keep on changing the U.I. / firmware....;
Log onto gateway
Go to Connected Devices > Devices
Next to your device in list select EDIT button
Under Edit Device
Configuration:
( ) DHCP
(*) Reserved IP
MAC Address: [43:A5:37:2C:5A:1A]
Reserved IP Address: [10.0.0.2]
You have to set the Reserved IP Address value the same as the value you set on the device itself.
You may have to reboot the device for the change to go in effect.
The Reserved IP Address is the same thing as a Static IP Address
The Reserved IP Address must be in the range shown at:
Gateway > Connection > Local IP Network
Good luck !

Every time I do exactly this, the router tells me "MAC address already exists" I need reserved IP for security cameras.
