Devices can't connect to new 5ghz speed wifi. Help

I just got a new upgraded wifi gateway and am now on a 5gh speed. Of course, none of my devices besides my phone and tv are compatible with it. Has anyone found a solution to this issue? Has anyone figured out how to split the network into 5gh and 2.4 gh? this is a massive pain!

@user_b3w2tr I would be more than happy to help find a solution to this problem you're experiencing. So that we don't go over something you've already done, can you please share with me what troubleshooting steps have you completed on your own? Have you by any chance used the Xfinity app to reset the modem? How about a power cycle, have you tried that?
