Defective Coax Problem
This is an FYI for others installing a Hitron CODA56 modem
I had difficulty installing my new Hitron CODA56 yesterday.
What should have been plug&play ended up with a 2 hour Xfinity chat.
The problem was caused by the DEFECTIVE "high quality" triple shielded RG6 coax cable included with the CODA56.
Once diagnosed by Xfinity, I replaced the new RG6 with a previous RG5.9.
Problem solved and the CODA56 was up and running!!
Just to convince myself that the new cable was defective, I switched back and again the RG6 failed to communicate.
So presently running on the previous RG5.9 and [Edited: "Language"] at so much wasted effort caused by a defective new component.
