dBmV power level

I have downstream level of 10 to 8 for dBmV.  Does anyone else get closer to ZERO??

That's a bit on the high side. Are you actually experiencing any connectivity / performance problems ? If not, don't sweat it.

Please copy all of the text in its entirety of the *Downstream Power Level*, the *Upstream Power Level*, and the *SNR* (Signal to Noise Ratio) numbers and paste them into your next post.


What is the exact make and model number of the modem ?


Is this a WiFi connection ?


Also. Are there any modem component RF error log entries being shown ? If so, please post them as well in their entirety (copy and paste them, don't post a screenshot) but redact the CM MAC and the CMTS MAC addresses for your privacy. This may or may not be the root cause of the problem (YMMV). Is there a drop amplifier on the coax cable line leading to the modem ? If so, try removing / bypassing it and see. If not, you can try installing a -6 dB FPA (Forward Path Attenuator) pad such as this one at the back of the modem to knock that power level down and see. It won't affect the upstream power level (which is in spec).

@EG​ There is a splitter between the c7800 and the cable from outside, have to check what it is.
