data usage problem

my data usage has been almost doubled in 1 day, my past usage has been around 700 gb on average, suddenly today its more than 1.3 tb, more than 500 gb consumed only in 1 day,

I see in past there was issue with xfinity system, 

I don't want to pay unnecessary additional charges

I, too, am having this issue. And this isnt the first time this has happened. Several years ago we had data spikes during January for no reason. After this issue, we began useing our computers data monitor and then what  Xfinity is reporting and what the computers say are two very different things.
