Daily Connectivity and network issues after years of service with no problems

I am having long periods of no service after weeks of having random drops in service all day long. When we do have service now the drops are continuing to happen. Prior to the long periods of no service starting this week I had a tech out to fix the dropping issues. He tightened something in the wall and gave me a new modem but neither fixed the problem. His supervisor called me afterwards and gave me his number in case of further issues but he is not responding to texts or emails and because there is a service outage in my area I cannot get a human or even AI to speak with me about these issues when I call. What can I do? Is my only option to cancel service? I work from home and need reliable internet

user_sloqh4, Hi there! Thank you for taking the time to share everything that's been happening. I can absolutely understand how frustrating this must be, especially when you rely on your internet connection to work from home and have been dealing with ongoing service interruptions after years of reliable service. I appreciate you already having a technician visit and trying the replacement modem. Since the issue is continuing and you've now experienced extended service interruptions in addition to the intermittent drops, we'd like to take a closer look at what's going on and review the work that has already been completed. Would you mind sending us a direct message with your first/last name and full address by clicking the "direct message" icon on the upper right page of the forum page? Once you click on that, click the "Start new conversation" (pencil and paper) icon. In the 'To:" line, input our shared handle "Xfinity Support" to send us a direct message, so we can access the account securely and investigate further. We'll review the signal history, any known service interruptions in the area, and determine what additional steps may be needed to get this resolved.

We certainly don't want losing service to be the reason you consider canceling, and we'll do everything we can to help identify the cause and work toward a solution.
