Constant ping jitter, occasional spurts of packet loss
Hi,
I've done extensive testing of the ping jitter, and isolated it beyond my equipment. I am getting anywhere from 1-30ms round trip ping from my access point or router, but when I track my ping beyond my router, it has consistent spikes of ping up into the 130ms range.
This makes games unplayable.
On top of that, I have occasional disconnects where the connection lags like crazy for a minute every hour or so (sometimes more often, sometimes less). This only happens on upstream, as I can see that the UDP packets are reaching my computer, yet the packets leaving my computer are being dropped (no control over what's happening in game).
I have swapped my XB-6A modem with the Intel Puma chipset out for the XB-7T with the Broadcom chipset, and it hasn't fixed anything.
Then, I have tracked my upload power, and it seems to spike whenever the hourly disconnect strikes.
Outside of that, I have also swapped the splitter with a high quality Antronix unit, and then terminated all unterminated coax with 75 ohm terminators.

Please post the *Downstream Power Level*, the *Upstream Power Level*, and the *SNR* (Signal to Noise Ratio) numbers.

Upload does peak occasionally, I will post it once it peaks.

The downstream is on the high side, The SNR's and the upstream were ok at that snapshot in time.
Please do.

Here's an image with the upload transmit power too high... Also you can see the uncorrectable codewords that are occuring occasionally.

Yep. Something intermittent is going on with your connection. Perhaps there is intermittent noise ingress into the line(s) somewhere.
There are other signal stat figures that can't be read by the modem. They are the "Upstream Rx Power" (Upstream Receive Power Level), the "Upstream SNR Ch." (Upstream Signal To Noise Ratio), and the "Upstream ICFR" (In Channel Frequency Response). These are as equally important in diagnosing connectivity issues as are the modem's stats.
I'm going to escalate your issue to the Comcast corporate employees that are available to these boards. They will be able to poll the CMTS to see whether or not everything is in the green zone, see your node / cable plant and modem health, and also see a history plot for the modem. You should get a reply here in your topic. Good luck !
