Constant Packet Loss 1-45%
I've suffered with a packet loss problem for years off and on but mostly on. Maintenance finally came and fixed it to a degree after many neighborhood complaints and pointless in home visits. It was still intermittent but bearable. Then a storm hit my area recently and although Xfinity says "All work is complete!"..it is worse than ever. Non stop packet loss on all devices, even hard wired ones.
Why is this company so reluctant to send maintenance to do work and have them actually QC said work and then have a supervisor QC it too? Have somebody QC the HSI for more than connectivity (yes/no) and upload/download speed? Why does a paying customer need to suffer poor service for months on end and have techs come out 10 times and change a splitter and a fitting or two before they can move forward? Then the credit offered for weeks of poor service or none at all is $5. That is barely 2.5 days worth on my plan.
I used to be a contractor who installed the infrastructure from tap to equipment. I know enough to know the problem is at the tap or after. Could be the local node or maybe beyond but they want you to power cycle your equipment..has that ever fixed anything beyond a minor stutter? Show of hands? If anybody else is having this problem you may want to go with ATT fiber to avoid most of these stability issues or we all need to complain to the FCC about the lack of stability. There are minimum standards that are supposed to be in place and 40%+ packet loss isn't it
