Constant outage without resolution

Starting since this prior Sunday (7/26) the internet in my neighborhood has been very flaky with repeated outages reported by xfinity. I've already had a technician come out and visit on Wednesday and they said everything looks good on their side. Speaking with my neighbors they all have Xfinity as well and they are seeing very frequent but short internet intermittency and my gateway is reporting very frequent packet drops which has now culminated in a day long persistent and sustained packet drop rate of ~33%. The xfinity site has reported an outage since 10a this morning and has reported "as soon as possible" for resolution all day with no improvement. Is anyone working towards mitigating whatever the regional issue is in my neighborhood?
