Constant Comcast Outages

What is the deal with these outages lately? 3rd time on my area in the last 3 weeks. Internet goes down, modem goes offline. For the price of service that is being paid. I would think service would be available at all times especially with folks WFH. Lost my internet right in the middle of the day. Unreal!!!

First. When these outages occur are they indicated here ?;

Use a cell phone internet service, a public WiFi hotspot, a neighbor's internet if you need to, to check it.

Tell me about it.  My cable & Internet keeps going out and coming back every like 20 min for the last stinkin hour!  Can't watch TV.  Can't stream cuz every time i start watching something the modem goes offline again!  Getting on my last nerve!  And your 100% correct...with the dang prices we pay we shouldn't get this many outages!

Hello @user_fedup. I can understand how important it is to be connected at all times. Unfortunately, unexpected interruptions do happen form times to time. I apologize for any inconveniences this has caused.  You can visit our status page here https://comca.st/3u3bQiG, and check for any service impacting interruptions, and set up alerts if needed.

In the last week I have had outages nearly every day lasting multiple hours. Xfinity is lucky there the only provider in my area. Absolute garbage service.

I have the service outage at least daily and for some reason it also occurs at least every night around 9 pm ? are the servers updating then. Over the years I have had originally time warner which seemed to be bullet proof, then went to ATT and that was ok but slow, went back to Spectrum and great service but [Edited: "Language"] customer service. But Xfinity actually wins with outages daily and I am not living in some outback area

I am sure the responses are just bots of some sort. They do not actually do anything but attempt to empathize. That's nice but would be great to hear "Arlington Heights has poor internet because............................" or some type of explanation or inquiry into it. Hopefully Musk gets Starlink here soon so we can move over

I’ve only had this service for 3 days and there have been outages lasting 5 hours in total. Are they going to deduct that from the monthly bill? Of course not. I truly hate this service and how greedy Comcast is as a whole. If you’re going to fleece customers they way they do the least you can do is provide good service. Xfinity internet went down while I was working and I was stranded. To make it worse they outrightly refuse to connect you with a live agent during outages (gee, wonder why). It’s so unfortunate that it’s the only option where I live, which is why they can continuously take advantage of customers this way. I truly hope Verizon Fios comes here soon. 3 years, not one outage, I move here and I might as well just permanently keep my phone hotspot on because that’s the only way I can get anything done. I hate Xfinity so much.

Just a heads up,

Comcast outages reports are not accurate.  I did not show an outage for my area several times, and then I drove just a block out to see them working on the lines.  Called CS and they didn't know their workers were there.   Once they got done my service was back up.  Had that happen about 6 times.
