Consistent packet loss in new apartment
I recently moved and have been experiencing packet loss. It occurs very regularly, every 5 to 6 minutes, with additional drops sometimes occurring in between. The severity of the packet loss varies.
My normal setup is: XB10 (bridge)-router-wired pc
I used the exact same modem/router setup at my previous house and did not have this issue. I started noticing the packet loss from the day I moved into the new apartment.
I have PingPlotter logs and screenshots for 8.8.8.8 and 1.1.1.1, as well as continuous CMD ping logs. I ran multiple ping tests simultaneously while gaming, and all external destinations experience packet loss at the exact same times.
I have power cycled and factory reset the modem several times. I also disabled bridge mode to see whether the issue would change, but it made no difference. When I ping the modem itself, the local connection does not have packet loss the way it does when I ping external addresses such as 8.8.8.8 or 1.1.1.1.
I have also tried different coax and Ethernet cables with no improvement. Since the local connection to the modem remains stable while multiple external destinations drop simultaneously, and the same hardware worked without issue at my previous house, this leads me to believe the problem is likely somewhere beyond my local network hardware.
