Connectivity Issue - intermittent drops. Please help!

Hello,

I'm running into an issue with my home network where the connection drops randomly and is down for 1-2 minutes then comes back up. I have not been able to resolve this issue unfortunately and it is very frustrating.

Plan: 400 mbps

Downstream speed: 470 mbps

Upstream: 25 mbps

Equipment: CM600, Nest Wifi

In MS Event Viewer, it says something about DHCP renewal lease issue, but I don't know if this is a red herring or not.

Any help is appreciated. When I called tech support they said the CM600 is not rated beyond 250 mbs, but on the product page it in fact says it is rated up to 500 mbps. "Support Cable Internet Service plans up to 300Mbps. Recommended for all speed tiers up to 500 Mbps. Separate router required for WiFi. 24x8 channel bonding"

FWIW, Comcast rates the CM600 for up to 959 Mbps;

For a test, does a computer / device hardwired directly to the CM600 cable modem with an ethernet cable have the same problem ?

It's a good question. I'll try hardwiring the desktop directly to modem, bypassing the router to see if the issue persists. My hunch is it will persist since I doubt it is a router issue. I'll try it out and will reply back here.
