connecting wpa2 devices to wpa3 router

Im trying to connect an older HP Officejet Printer to newly acquired xfinity router.  Unable to setup printer as the issue is i need to add the printer MAC address to the MAC address filtering on the router.  However there may be an issue with compatibility as the printer is old and looks like it only supports WPA2, but router has been set to WPA3 encryption.  I have found how to add MAC address in the router section, but not sure if i did it correctly because I'm still not getting a connection setup.  It should be noted that the printer is around 10 years old.  Bottom line, can't get a wireless setup with printer.

Not sure this works anymore.. They've disabled a lot of functions.. YMMV.
