Xfinity gear with phone app?

Kinda buggy communication with the gateway and phone app sometimes.  Try a couple of things:

Power Cycle the gateway (actual power cord yank)

Does the old password still work? (no gateway update from the app)

iphone/ipad is kinda funny, it likes to capitalize the first character entered on dialog boxes.  Try the current password, but capitalize the first character

Don't use a special character for the 1st charter in the WiFi password.  I've seen that break stuff other stuff.  If you did, use a number or letter.

You might have to "forget" the previous WiFi network, and then re-join the network

(If nothing else works)

Sledge Hammer approach:  Caution: likely/probably will lose all your settings.

Forget the WiFi connection on your devices.

Try a factory default on your gateway -- hold the WPS button down for 20-30 seconds or until the lights start flashing.

Use the phone app again to change the WiFi SSID to something else, and change the password.

Try to join the network again with the password you just set.

Anyone got anything else that may work??

If you are using a Comcast rented gateway device, see if you can view and verify your current password here;

@8100APT2 Thank you so much for your post for help with loggin into your Wifi after making changes to your network name and password. Once you have made changes like this on some devices they store the old information at some level and can caused issues when trying to log back in. In most cases, if you pick the option on the device you are trying to connect to Forget the network that will clear out any old network information. So when you search again for Wi-Fi networks to log in around you and find your new Network name it will be like accessing it for the first time. Let me know if you are still having issues after forgetting the network on each device.
