Connecting to my Xfinity Wi-Fi enables YouTube Restricted Mode

When I connect to my Xfinity Home Wi-Fi on any of my mobile devices the Restricted Mode setting for YouTube automatically turns on. As soon as I logoff of my Wi-Fi and onto either my mobile network, or another Wi-Fi, the Restricted Mode setting for YouTube automatically turns off and stays off until I connect to my Wi-Fi again. I have no Parental Settings enabled on my Xfinity gateway.

@user_pgw0j5 Are you able to turn off restricted mode once it comes on automatically when connected to your network?

What do you see when you check the restrictions while connected to WiFi on your devices? https://www.youtube.com/check_content_restrictions

If it's the account "Restrictions on Your Personal Account" from the link, click on the youtube app on your device and change the setting (upper right corner).  If it's a web browser, clear the web cache, clear out cookies, close the browser, then launch it and log into youtube and check the account settings (upper right corner).

If it's the network "Restrictions on your Organization Network" from the link, then it's an Xfinity cloud edge problem with either DNS or HTTP restrictions. If you have 3rd party gear, you shouldn't see it if you don't have parental controls active.  If you do, and it's an option on your gateway, and it reports DNS restrictions, use different public DNS servers.  Try cloudlflare's.  If you are using Xfinity gear, perhaps try turning off "Advanced Security" in their app.  You have no option to change DNS servers with their rental equipment.
