connecting smart vacuum via 2.5 band

Un-merging 2.4 and 5 ghz?

I just purchased a robotic vacuum that can ONLY connect to a 2.4 ghz network, and since Xfinity has “combined” the 2.4 and 5.0 networks, it will not connect. I’ve gone into both the app and the admin site, but cannot seem to separate the two as they are being “managed automatically to help optimize your home network”. I don’t have the option to do anything on the app, and everything is grayed out on the admin site. 

Any ideas on how I can split them up on my Xfi gateway?
