Connecting mesh range extender to hotspot
Hello,
I have home service, but have a cabin that I travel to often. There is hotspot service nearby but the signal is spotty in the one room we have access to it in. Would it be possible to connect my mesh range extender (Netgear EAX15-AX1800) to the xfinity hotspot? If so how?
Thanks in advance

That would be cool, but no, your Netgear has no means to authenticate your Xfinity account and connect to their hotspots. I don't think any of them could do that, but perhaps I'm wrong, or maybe someone else has a better idea.
It's a bit sketchy, but if you've got a USB WiFi adapter with an SMA connector and antenna on it, you Might be able to put up an outdoor directional antenna, then run that cable to the SMA connector on your USB WiFi adapter, and then Perhaps get enough signal to work a bit better.
There are a lot of variables in trying to do that. Clear line of site to the target is always much better. Actual antenna gain? Well, some products are better than others. Some do nothing. All of them make a lot of marketing claims. Your millage will vary. You can try to "tune" the antenna with a free WiFi scanner like Acrylic Home WiFi so you get it pointed in the best direction.
*You could give connection sharing on Windows a try if you got one box connected. Connect the other one via bluetooth to the connected box:

I'm thinking if you want to get on that Xfinity WiFi way over there you want a directional antenna. WiFi PCI-e card, USB adapter, or WiFi repeater/extender with external antenna plugs cabled to a directional antenna preferably outside of the building.
