Connecting Dyson that needs 2.4 to new gateway
My Dyson Fan/purifiers will only connect to a 2.4 network. The gateway is supposed to handle it automatically so there is no advanced setting for changing or separating 2.4 and 5. I'm stumped. It won't connect.

Hey sorry to hear about the Dyson not connecting. To facilitate troubleshooting how about a bit more information on which GATEWAY this is reference to and are there any other device encountered issues connecting to the 2.4Mhz channel? If other device connecting fine then the Dyson needs a bit of attention. There are plenty of "Dyson not connecting" threads on the web. Appears the issue may be with using the App or connecting directly to WIFI signal...
From Dyson Webpage - re: Dyson Link app and connectivity
If this is your first time connecting, please select 'Connection journey'.
If you are experiancing an issue connecting, please select 'Connection failure'.
If you have already connected but are experiencing issues with your app, please select 'Post connection troubleshooting'.
Please see if the above works and post results.
Just my .2 cents.
Thanks and good luck.

Hey, Thanks for the reply. I actually found the answer I needed in the forum on a closed thread. I have a new gateway, not sure the model. Here is a link to how to give your 2.4 network a different name then your 5.0. https://comca.st/3oon9yJ

here is a copy of the forum post.
Hi, @user_096868! Welcome to the XFINITY forums page. I am sorry to learn about this experience with not being able to connect that garage door opener switch. I can definitely see how inconvenient this can be. We can help.
Here is a great digital option for viewing the details on how to split up those Wifi channels to a 2.4 and 5.0 Ghz channel Please let me know if this helps.
