Connected Device Connection Issues

I have a XB7 Gateway.  I just purchased an air conditioner that is wifi capable and uses the 2.4 ghz band, but am having connection issues. The manufacturer (Frigidaire / Electrolux) says that i need to split off the 2.4 ghz band from the 5.0 ghz band into separate networks to address the connection issues.

The Xfinity app says that the air conditioneris connected to the gateway and connection type listed is 2.4 ghz.

We do have (4) boost pods located throughout the house.

How do I do this

Bottom line. If you want to continue to use their pods, then you can't use separated bands. They must be combined for the pods to be able to function.

Thanks for reaching out to us, this link https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/change-wifi-mode-admin-tool-xfinity-xfi has great information on how you can split your Wi-Fi bands. If you are going to split them I would recommend creating different network names and passwords to help you identify each wifi band

But as @EG mentioned if you do that then that's going to cause issue with your boost pods. You may have to move your air conditioner to a different location so it's picking up the signal directly from your modem on the correct Wi-Fi band to need
