Connect tv to gateway?

I am on the now Internet plan. I use it to watch YouTube on my TV. It’s very slow and glitchy. Would I benefit by wiring my TV directly to the gateway?

user_v1i1j1 Direct connections are always the best way to use the internet service if a device is lagging when connection is by WiFi.
