Connect to hidden network

As soon as I stop SSID broadcast, the network becomes unreachable.  In Android it says network not in range. In Windows, the SSID shows in the available networks and it just keeps saying connecting, then it says secured, then connecting then secured, ad uinfinitum.

The Windows box connects just fine to my hidden T-Mobile hotspot and is configured correctly for the Xfinity hodden network but refuses to connect.  Any help would be appreciated. ( Its also crazy that MoCA can't be successfully disabled without a line filter ! )
