Your router may have a connect button on it. Hit than then Go to ur printer and check tools for it. Once it's connected If it's a WiFi printer it will show up for any iOS device as air print. For your Mac, go to system preferences, double click on the printer/scanner icon, hit the plus button at the bottom left and the Mac willl scan for the printer. When you see it, just click on it and it will add it. To remove a printer from your Mac, hit the minus button and it will be gone.

Which model modem/gateway do you have? You might need to separate the WiFi bands (2.4 and 5 gHz) so the printer sees the one it needs. Check out:

Are you associating them with your home network's current WiFi broadcast name (SSID) and your WiFi network's current password / network security key ?
