@user_wwel59 What freezes? Does Yahoo freeze & YouTube stops playing, or does the entire machine freeze up? If it's the whole machine your computer is an issue unless you're using a Chromebook or something similar that only works online. If a Windows, Mac or Linux machine is working properly the Internet can suddenly drop dead and the desktop & local apps will be just fine.
@user_wwel59 I recommend taking advantage of the Xfinity App to perform some troubleshooting on your connection including a speed test. The troubleshooting tools within the app will run a diagnostic and report any issues that need immediate attention. It might also be a good idea to power cycle your modem/router, swap your ethernet cable, and check it for damage.
