Complaint about setting up wifi

I know I'm shouting into the void but i need to say that it is stupid, ridiculous, terrible, bad, wrong, frustrating, and INFURIATING that you need an internet connection to set up your internet connection. 

You need to download an app to set up your wifi. That is ridiculous. And the guide that comes with the gateway has no other options. No phone number, only links and QR codes. 

According to the Pew Research Center, approximately 9% to 15% of American adults do not own a smartphone. 

And plenty of people who own smartphones don't know how to use them for this kind of thing.

I am appalled. You need to make this process accessible. You have the resources to improve this process. You know it won't work for a lot of people and will be extremely difficult for others. I cannot fathom why such a massive company would not make possible for non smartphone users to set up their own wifi.
