Commscope drop amplifier

Hello, I want to remove the old commscope drop amplifier. if I unplug it, the internet drops. How do I remove it?

Are you sure that you should ? Maybe it is needed ? Anyway, you have to also take it out of the coax path. Unscrew the coax cables and use a double female coax connector if needed. Or plug the modem directly into the wall outlet.

No longer have TV, just internet. dont need it. Id like to see the coaxial go away. Its buggy now and causing outage issues. If I just unscrew the coaxial from amp. The internet drops, even if I just loop it back to itself

You might very well need it if the incoming signal is too weak. The modem would need to be directly connected to  the wall outlet with a piece of coax jumper cable.
