Comcast wire "tap" located here?

I just ordered service recently. I do not think Comcast wants to have technicians come at this time, which is why self-install kits are a thing now and have been more "normal" in recent years.

Basically I am trying to find which wire outside is the Comcast one, so I took a photo of the wire I think it is and will post it here (hopefully someone can approve it if it needs to be for others to see it).

I have to feed this all the way to my room where the modem is going to be, which seems a pain since it is on the other side of the house -- and I have no hole in the wall or coaxial outlets rigged.

Did you just switch from a different provider. The drop on the left looks like all Comcast. Cables on the right look like another provider and cables going into your home. Just missing a splitter to connect or take off that little jumper on the left and hook your new cable to it. There’s also no guarantees that it’s live

Does the jumper matter?

I just decided to maybe buy some super long rg6 cable and connect directly and feed or fish the line across the house (like 100ft. or such) and leave it as is outside.

The jumper doesn’t matter, it’s there to hook up a splitter. If you don’t need it remove it

Hi @meangelus! I hope all is well. I wanted to check in with you to see if you were able to get this taken care of or if you need us to get a tech scheduled for you? If you need a tech, please reach out in a private message, and I can get one scheduled for you.
