Comcast blocks my port forwarding
I set up port forwarding for access to systems on my lan from outside. I need 22 (ssh) 80 (http) and 443 (https) and have a system which accepts connections and does work for me.
I set the forwarding up on my gigabit router/modem but Comcast now reports a bunch of connection attempts that it claims are "known malicious agents" -- hogwash! I had friends try the conenctions to see if they worked and they connected some number of times and hit the block.
I took a very long time and a great deal of searching to find that Comcast was blocking me. Why do they allow prot forwarding and then block the forwards?
How do I get them to stop blocking?

Try disabling the Xfi Advanced Security feature as a work-around for now and see. It's buggy ! And there is currently no way for an end-user to be able to whitelist anything;

I'll try that, thanks!
They have also blocked me from connecting to the IP addresses that I used to test port forwarding and those were my work servers. So now I can't login to work!!!
Why do Americans continue to allow a local monopoly to treat us this way? After doing something allowed by their terms and service agreement and using technology they supply Comcast has blocked my access to work in the time of covid work-from-home! Thanks for the disservice Comcast!

Good catch. That fixed it!
BTW I had to go to the "more" tab and follow the "advanced Security" link to flip the disable switch. May be buggy but worked for me.
Many thanks, and I'd take back my complaint (at least a little) except for the fact that if Comcast was interested in my security they would not have installed a router with a username of "admin" and passwored of "password". Do not trust your security to these guys, check your modem/router.
