Coaxial Cord?

Hi There!

Just recently graduated medical school, moving to start residency, and have purchased my own router/modem. I noticed that it come with a coaxial cord, and want to inquire if this piece of equipment is something that is provided by the technician at the time of appointment? 

If not, does any reccomend a particular kind of coaxial cord?
