You ask for an adapter. Usually a female to female adapter is required. You can take what you have to an XFINITY store and they may help you. If you are to far away you can give them a phone call. James

FWIW, coax cable jumpers typically have male ends with a pin in the middle.
Female ends look like the wall plate sockets do, with an insert hole in the middle and visible screw threads on the outside.
