CM32-2600 ASUS ROUTER- ddns HARD DRIVE not connecting to internet
Having trouble with the DDNS and my storage / hard drive hooked to the router. I have been through tech support with Asus -who cycled me thru all their techs everytime I got an email back. The firmware is still at 1.0.1.5 and they said they have no upgrade for it - ask the ISP.
The only thing that did work was clicking to the client tab
Step 1. Open Control Panel in your PC/Notebook.
Step 2. Click on Programs.
Step 3. Click on Turn Windows features on or off link.
Step 4. Expand the SMB 1.0/CIFS File Sharing Support option.
Step 5. Check the SMB 1.0/CIFS Client option.
This got me to see it at least once on the Network tab in file explorer! Now that I put in a different hard drive (trying different things) I have not got it back. I can never seem to get the screen on the Asus router to give me thisnever get this on my router!!
YELLOW EXCLAMATION POINT
Asus said I could send it in for repairs, but what I am supposed to do in the meantime?? I ordered a TP 1900 to see if that works better? As long as you are not using a hard drive for access on this router, it works great. But it like one guy posted, need a 4 year engineering degree to program it😀
If I find out anymore info or tricks will post, if anyone has any ideas, let me know?
thanks
michael
